Aero Aswar and Chris MacClugage at the APBA Awards Ceremony

The Macc Racing Team had a great race weekend at the first 2 rounds of the APBA National Tour!

Fifteen year old racing sensation, Aero Aswar had a great weekend of competition on the Colorado River in front of the Bluewater Resort and Casino. Aero is from Indonesia, making him one of the standout international racers at the event.

Saturday and Sunday the race venue was buffered with high winds and fast racing on a track that complimented Aero’s Macc Racing performance boat.

Aero competes in the Expert Open Runabout division. Friday he achieved an amazing feat by having only 20 minutes of ‘ride time’ on the Macc Racing craft the day prior to racing. Tuning the boat to the racer needs, Aero proved he had the desire to match his performance package; he brought home a 1st in Expert Open Runabout on Saturday by taking 1st places in both race motos.

On Sunday Aero followed up with yet another impressive run of 2nd place in the Expert Open Runabout Division!

He also stepped up on the podium in the Pro Am Runabout Open taking an even more impressive 2nd place finish! Aero is interested in competing at select APBA National Tour events and has his sights on competing at the IJSBA World Finals in the Pro Open Runabout Division for the prestigious title!
