Thursday | August 28, 2008
Round Five of the APBA National Tour was located on the beautiful white sand beaches of Orange Beach, Alabama. Macc Racing’s Chris MacClugage and Kurt Samuels were both set to do battle in what was shaping up to be a great weekend of racing. In the Pro Ski Stock class MacClugage was able to walk away with a dominating victory aboard a new Macc Racing Yamaha Super Jet lapping the entire field and taking the over all for the day. Macc Racing’s Kurt Samuels was also able to secure a 1st place overall in the Novice class with two wire to wire wins aboard his Macc Racing Yamaha Super Jet. In the Pro Ski GP class, MacClugage was able to power his Macc Racing Kawasaki SX-R 800 to a solid moto one victory. In moto number two it was more of the same as Macc got the hole shot and held it for the remainder of the race to take the overall in GP for the day. The results showed Chris MacClugage in 1st, Rick Sherker 2nd, and Bill Haig 3rd
