Chris MacClugage riding Macc Racing's Bullett 1100 SXR GP Ski to victory

Chris & Rachel MacClugage recently made the trek to The UWP/IJSBA Nationals in Charleston, WV. Their journey started on Thursday with 2 flights to West Virginia arriving the night before the equipment arrived as they were able to relax & spend some time catching up with good friends & admiring the race venue. They saw that the race site was full of banners, bleachers and plenty of racers already setting up for the event as well as a lot of spectators coming to check out some of the sights and sounds which some called “The calm before the storm”.

Friday afternoon they had the fastest lap contest for Ski and Runabout classes and Chris won the ski division by over 1 Second over the next fastest racer. Chris also competed in the fastest lap atop his Macc Racing Yamaha STOCK legal FZR & came in 2nd fastest in the field against all of the other highly modified runabouts.

Saturday it was GO time and The Macc Racing team was ready for whatever anyone had to dish out. In Moto one of Pro R/A Stk Chris faced great competition and came in 3rd in Moto 1. In Pro Ski GP Chris would see Jimmy Wilson pull a hole shot and early lead, but that wouldn’t last long as Chris was able to settle down and over take Jimmy for the lead and started to put a sizable lead over the rest of the field by the checkered flag resulting in a Moto 1 win.



Sunday was “Judgment Day” for a lot of the racers as a lot of the top points leaders were vying for that #1 spot but Chris was there to win. In Pro R/A Stk he battled to a 2nd place overall win with a 1st & 3rd place finish which gave him a 2nd overall for the weekend.



The main focus was now on Pro Ski GP as Chris had been very excited to debut his brand new Bullet Racing Hull and Macc Racing 1100 SXR GP Ski. He had already shown what he had for them on Saturday and would keep up the trend and go on the ATTACK as he would go 1 & 1 for the overall top spot 1st place finish in Pro Ski GP…Proving that the Macc Racing Bullet 1100 SXR GP Ski is not one to take lightly. Chris stated “This weekend was a great weekend of racing, there were great battles ensuing in a lot of the classes” he also added “I like this event and AJ Handler & The UWP staff did a great job organizing the event and we plan to be back in 2011”
